Are you ready for some Football?

This has by far been my favorite season of football yet.  Jacob and Luke have been able to play on the same team this season.  Jacob is the oldest and Luke is the youngest.  It has been so nice to go to just one game and be able to pay attention to them the whole time.  For some of these boys, this is the third season that they have played together and it is starting to show.  These boys are so cute and they have such a good coach.  This is a really competitive league where some coaches don't even play all they players during the game, but everybody on this team has received equal playing time.  They started tournament last weekend and were ranked first after they beat a team the week before that had not lost in two seasons. That is saying something about having a good coach that makes these boys feel great.

Jacob has been able to play all the posistions.  He is quite a good passer.  I believe he has thrown to some of the other kids to score a touchdown.  He has also caught touchdown passes and ran for touchdowns.  He loves playing defense and has become quite a good flag puller.  They practice pulling flags on older kids while at practice.  Such a great idea.

Luke is the best 5-6 year old center in the league.  He is very proud of his position.  He has even been able to score a couple of extra points and run for a few downs.  He has a problem with flag guarding, but we are working on it.  He has also pulled flags in some very crucial points in games stopping the other team from scoring a touchdown.  He just loves playing with his brother.  He does great playing against some kids that are two years older than him.

Our true test begins this Saturday at 10am.  The 49ers have the potential to play 3 games on Saturday as long as they keep on winning.  Here's to making it to the championship game.  Go 49ers!!
