Eight is Great

It seemed like the whole time Todd was on sabbatical that we were super busy and I think maybe we were.  We had a little down time after we got back from New York where Todd built me some storage shelving in the closet under our stairs.  Of course we did more things, but I just can't seem to remember what it was.  We did have a blast spending time together.
One thing we did do was celebrate Jacob's 8th birthday.  We would be in Florida on his birthday so we decided to celebrate it a few days early right before we left.  This is the birthday crew.  We had an olympics themed party and it was so much fun.  This is a great group of boys!  Some of them have been to the last three of Jacob's party.  It is so fun living in such a great neighborhood.

Jacob got some great gifts this year.  He was really excited about his new pocket knife that his friend Jacob got him.  He carried it around and showed everyone for two days straight.

One of the things Jacob was most excited about turning eight was getting to go to scouts.  His Grandma Danielson went to the scout store and bought him all of his supplies.  He was just so happy.

We are so glad Jacob is in our family.  He is such a great boy.  He is so good at obeying (for the most part) and he is a great helper to his younger brothers.  Both Luke and Nathan adore him.  He is a great student and he loves to read (and be read to).  Here are some of his favorites...
Color: Blue
Food: Steak
Drink: Root beer
Still loves video games
Wants to be an engineer
Happy Birthday Jacob!!  Eight really is Great!
