Kate is one month

I write this now although Kate is almost two months, but better than never.  I do have to say that the last month sure went by a lot faster than the last month of my pregnancy.  Thank goodness.  We are surviving here.  I do have to say that a newborn is a lot of work.  More than I remember.  Kate has been a great night sleeper.  She will usually go about 6 hours and then every 4 hours after that.  Her six hour stretch starts around 8 though, so I don't get that much sleep.  I do enjoy having the evening to spend with Todd though.  I wish I could say her sleeping during the day was great, but it is not.  She seems super uncomfortable and gassy and doesn't like anything unless you are holding her.  Makes it really difficult to get things done but I guess I should enjoy holding our little baby.  Time goes by way too fast. 
Kate has been smiling for a week now.  Smiles don't last long but we do see them everyday.  That is fun.  She is getting stronger and more observant.  The boys will be excited when she interacts with them.
