Goodbye Special Spot

Jacob was born with this birth mark on the top of his head.  When he was just a baby, we thought he just had a bad scrape coming out at birth, but the doctor told us it was a birth mark called nevus sabacious.  He said we would need to get it removed when he was older.  Well since the insurance deductible was met this year, we decided that he was old enough and we scheduled the surgery.  On the 17th, Jacob had the big day.  To say he was nervous and scared would be an understatement.  He was very nervous.  Todd gave him a blessing the night before and Jacob did a great job.  He had to be very brave as we left him to go to the waiting room while he did the surgery. 
An hour or so later, he was done and this special spot on his head is now one long scar.  We are so glad that everything went well.  Jacob is such a good sweet boy.  He'll need to take it easy for a couple of weeks and then he will be healed and ready to do what boys do.
