With the winter weather comes the winter sports. Both Jacob and Luke are playing basketball. Jacob is playing on a competitive YMCA team. It is quite different than what he has been used to with WHAM. They have had to learn to be a lot more aggressive and really go after the ball. Unfortunately, I never took any pictures of Jacob's team, but he had a great time playing and really improved throughout the season.
Luke is playing his first year in WHAM. He woke up the first morning of his game at like 6:30 (early for him) and got ready in his entire jersey including the socks and headband. In doing so, he managed to wake up the rest of the house. He is very loud!! His excitement is a lot of fun. He loves to play basketball and will go outside in the backyard to practice his shooting and dribbling any chance he gets. He is just a little timid which is surprising because he is by far our most aggressive kid. His very first game, he had to have made the kid guarding him so tired because he ran all over the place trying to get someone to pass him the ball. It was very funny. He is having a great time and is very excited for every game he plays.
I love this picture. Mostly it is for all the little and older brothers who are cheering the team on. Jacob was in charge of keeping score since they don't do that in WHAM. It is crazy. There are tons of families that are very boy heavy. 2 have five boys, 2 have three boys and then there is Kate. She will be one very happy girl when she is older and thinks all her brothers friends are cute.
Kate loved the games. She had a great time following the basketball around. Can you spy her two little teeth!!
