Everyday Todd comes home from work and hurries over to give each of his girls a kiss hi. If Kate is awake, he makes sure to grab her and spends a little time talking to her. He has a special posisition that he holds her in and then he just talks to her about her day. She quickly responds by looking into his eyes and gives him the biggest smiles. These two will have a special relationship.

An update on Kate's fussiness. Right around 5 weeks, Kate started getting really fussy. She was not comfortable and she was not sleeping during the day which made for a very long and trying day where she cried a lot. I decided to switch her formula to the sensitive kind and I made an appointment with the chiropractor. She went to the chiropractor a couple of weeks ago and he told me that her left leg was about 1/2 inch shorter than her right leg. He made the adjustment and then we were done. When I left, I kind of thought that it was just a joke and a waste of money, but she was so much better the next day. I was really surprised. She went into her car seat without screaming and she just seemed more content. That is not to say that she is not fussy. She is still really fussy, but there has been some improvement. I am hoping that she will get happier here in the next few weeks. She is great if she can just take her naps during the day, but a lot of times she will go to sleep for 25-30 minutes and then she will just wake up and be super fussy. I am interested to see what the doctor says when we go in a couple of weeks.
We have had a setback and a step forward this week though. The setback first. Kate got a little cold during the week. She has been stuffy and a little congested. Nothing bad, but she has just been uncomfortable especially in the early morning when she is really stuffy. Which leads to the progress. Since she has been stuffy, I haven't wanted her to lay down, so I have been putting her in the swing. She finally likes it!! She has spent all of her daytime naps in the swing and she has slept in in during the night too. She has managed to sleep for a few hours in it each time and for that I am greatful!
