Danielson Christmas

We had such a fun Christmas this year.  We started the festivities on Christmas Eve over at Dennis and Bonnie's house.  We ate lunch, heard the story of the nativity while the kids acted it out, and played BINGO for some really fun prizes.  It was a great day.  We had planned to go to the temple lights, but the boys all started coughing and it looked like maybe Kate was getting sick too, so we decided to head on home and relax a little.  We watched Elf and then the boys went to sleep.

We did end up having a rough night with Nathan.  He woke up around two and couldn't stop coughing.  He was up for about an hour which made waking up on Christmas morning a little harder for him.  Jacob and Luke were so excited and woke up at 6.  We made them wait until 7 when we woke Nate up.  Nathan was funny.  I told him that Santa Claus had come and he jumped right out of the bed and was so excited.

We had a fun Christmas.  The boys got some items they needed, clothes, socks and such, and then they all got basketballs, beyblades, swords and shields.  Jacob got a new bike.  Luke got a new dirtbike, and Nathan got a new scooter.

Todd and I decided that we wanted to take the boys on a special vacation in a few weeks so we had the boys do a treasure hunt to find out where we were going.  The boys were very excited.  In the end, they each got a gift card to use at the happiest place on earth.  I don't think they really could comprehend that we are going to take them to Disneyland.  We put Disney Infinity in the treasure chest with the gift cards and they were way more excited about that instead of the trip.  However, they will be excited when we go on the trip because the day we leave will be a surprise for them.  Todd did a very fun treasure hunt though.

Kate got in on the opening of presents too.  As you can see she was super excited.

I am so greatful for this little family that I have.  I really feel blessed to be married to such a good man and that we get to raise these sweet kids together.  They bring me so much happiness I am beyond myself right now.  I love the Christmas season because it is all about family and thinking of others.  It is such a happy time for me.  I am thankful to our Savior who came to this earth and provided the perfect example for us to follow.  Merry Christmas.
