New YorkDay 4

Day four was the final day for Jeff and Kari and my mom and Barb.  We wanted to make sure that we saw the 9/11 Memorial so that is were we headed that morning.  It is such a sacred hallowed ground.  You can't help but be a little somber on these grounds.  The site is beautiful and there are many things planned.  We wished the museum was open.  I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard about the twin towers.  That day is forever engrained in my memory and I have wanted to go to the site since 9/11.  I was greatful to be there and for all those who have fought for our countries freedom since that horrific day.

After the memorial we headed to this yummy mexican food restraunt.  My mom and barb enjoyed it so much the first time that they had to take us there 1 day later.  Then we went to this delicious bakery.  It was amazing.  All of us wanted to try everything there and everything we did try was great.  The day was rainy and Todd and I said goodbye to our family and headed to our hotel in the rain that was on the other side of the island in the Financial district.
That night while everyone headed home, Todd and I went to our first off broadway show, the Fantastics!  The show was entertaining.  It had Aaron Carter from the backstreet boys in it and the theater was super small so we were right up close.  We had a great time and were excited to spend some time together, just the two of us exploring the city.
