It's hard to believe that this summer is over. I would like to say it went by so fast and I just enjoyed every minute of it, but after about two weeks, I was ready for some structure that I just couldn't manage to get. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy spending more time with my kids, but I find that they become obsessed with video games during the summer and we just don't mix well when that happens. Thanks to Intel, we did do some fun things. These are all from my iphone though and for some reason, I think I might be the only person that takes horrible pictures with my phone. I need a lesson I guess because I hardly ever carry my camera with me anymore.
Anyway, our first Intel activity was a trip to the D-backs game. It happened way back in May before school was out, but we had a great time. We let Jacob and Luke each take a friend and we filled them up on snacks and junk food for a few hours, watched the D-backs win, and then watched the fireworks after. It was exhausting but still fun. Then the next night, we went to an arena football game. We were all super excited to go, but it was really loud in there and it wasn't the kind of environment I really wanted to boys around. We lasted for a half, went to the play area, came back for about 10 minutes and then headed home.

Also, happening in May was Luke's last baseball game. He enjoyed playing little league. I'm sure we'll do it again. His coach was awesome and really made Luke feel special. Luke was very proud of his trophy.
In June, Luke got the desire to go down to the park to sell shaved ice. It was a really hot day. I want to say it was around 110, but it was really hard to tell him no when he had such a strong desire to do it. We found out that Luke didn't really enjoy talking to people to see what they wanted, but Nathan was quite the little salesperson. Unfortunately, it was just too hot and not very many people were out. However, he did make around $15 for two hours of work. Not bad for a 4 and 6 year old. Luke is very good about saving and put all his money in the bank. Can't say the same for Nathan.
Another Intel sponsored event happened in June. Todd won tickets to a place called extreme air. All the pictures I took there were super blurry and grainy. Extreme air is a trampoline place and then they have a skate/scooter park in the back. All three boys had a blast at the skate park. They spent the better part of an hour riding scooters down all the ramps. They jumped too and we ate a lot of pizza and drank a lot of soda. It was a really fun night.
I organized a baby shower for my friend Meagan in July. She has since had her baby girl and I am very jealous that I am still waiting for mine to arrive. Her little girl Reagan is beautiful and her and Kate will become fast friends since she lives just a few houses away and we work out together every morning.
Todd also won tickets to the circus. Intel rented out US Airways for all the employees to enjoy the circus. I thought it would be so fun for the boys so I was super excited to go. There was some crazy stuff there. Every second was filled with a different thing and we really enjoyed it. They had all the original circus things like elephants, clowns, tightrope and also some newer things. The boys really enjoyed the basketball players that played on unicycles.
This is our $15 cotton candy hat. Thought I would buy some cotton candy for a snack and did not realize just how expensive it was until it was too late. We'll keep this hat forever.
Another activity we did was Bounce U. The boys got to take friends with them and it was a great time for two hours. They have asked multiple times to go back.
My friend Julianna gave me a baby shower the week school started. I felt so much love from all my family and friends and got some great things for Kate. It has been a really long two weeks since then because we are completely ready for Kate to arrive.
Some other summer activities included, swim team, swimming, playing basketball at the church. Todd took the boys to Big Surf. I have some other pictures on my camera that I will add later. It sure is nice to have the structure of school back. My boys seem to be better at using their imaginations and doing other things now that they are using their brains again.
